What Was She Expecting? Entry #4
Today was absolutely crazy I had a crisis with my cousin. She told me that she was pregnant. It’s a hard topic to have deal with it, especially when they are under the age, I grew up with her and in high school. She came to tell me the news, in secret not wanting her parents to find out. She however was telling me how it happened and how she suspects it’s a pregnancy or even just a scare. To help her, I gave her the advice to tell her parents to get the proper help she needs to fully get herself in a safe situation.
I also helped her by buying her pregnancy test at the store which was a hassle because when I was in the store so many other women were looking at me in a judging way because it looked like a little teenage girl buying pregnancy test because she wasn’t being safe. It’s horrible that people think in that way because all people will do is judge instead of help because it’s not just her life that she needs to worry about it’s also the baby’s life. I came back to the house and brought the test to her. As they came back negative, it was a safer option to get herself checked by a proper doctor, and to give her many options to come, if it were to be true.
I had never felt so scared in my life for her because I knew that everything would change for her. The only thing I was positive on was the support she would get from all of her true friends and family. I think that is something that we lack of seeing is their will be some people that will judge you and bring you down about the decisions you make but it’s your choice on how you’re going to grow from it. I know this really taught my cousin a lesson and that if she really is pregnant she will do whatever it takes to be stronger and to show she is able to do this.
This is something that happens too often. Thankfully, she has someone like you to trust.
